Terms of Use
Effective:
What do these terms cover?
These terms apply when you access potatao.io, app.potatao.io, or another PotaTao page or interface that links to them. By using PotaTao, you agree to follow these terms and accept the risks described below. If you do not agree, do not use the interface.
What is PotaTao providing?
PotaTao provides a non-custodial technology interface. It helps you view public Bittensor information and prepare or transmit supported instructions for your connected wallet to authorise.
PotaTao is not a crypto-asset exchange, broker, bank, custodian, payment service, liquidity provider, validator, investment manager, wallet, or operator of the Bittensor network. It does not control whether Bittensor accepts, orders, delays, rejects, or finalises an instruction.
Does PotaTao charge a fee or handle funds?
PotaTao currently charges no interface fee and does not receive or take custody of your funds. Your assets remain controlled by your wallet and move according to the transaction you authorise and the Bittensor protocol.
Network transaction costs, protocol or pool effects, price impact, wallet costs, and other third-party costs can still apply. Check the current interface and wallet request before signing.
Who can use PotaTao?
You must be legally able to agree to these terms where you live and use PotaTao only where doing so is lawful. You must not use the interface to evade applicable sanctions or other legal restrictions.
You are responsible for understanding the laws that apply to you. PotaTao does not represent that the interface is appropriate or available in every country.
What are my wallet responsibilities?
You control the wallet used with PotaTao and are responsible for securing its device, seed phrase, private keys, recovery methods, extensions, and approvals. PotaTao cannot recover a wallet or reverse an on-chain transaction.
Before approving a request, check the domain, network, account, token, subnet, validator, destination, amount, price impact, execution limit, and every value shown by your wallet. Never share a seed phrase or private key with PotaTao or anyone contacting you through social media.
Which third-party systems are involved?
PotaTao depends on systems it does not control, including third-party wallets, wallet-connection software, hosting and security services, public data providers, RPC services, transaction relays, validators, subnet pools, and the Bittensor network.
Those services can be unavailable, delayed, inaccurate, compromised, or governed by their own terms and privacy policies. PotaTao does not guarantee their performance or security.
Does PotaTao use affiliate links?
Some links to third-party exchanges may be affiliate links. PotaTao may receive compensation if you follow one or complete a qualifying action. Exchanges remain independent services governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Any affiliate link will be identified where it appears.
How do quotes, costs, and execution work?
A quote or reward figure is a current simulation or estimate, not a locked result. Pool reserves, network state, token prices, price impact, slippage, execution limits, validator settings, and protocol parameters can change before execution.
Your wallet authorises the instruction. Bittensor and its participants determine ordering, execution, and finality. A transaction may fail, expire, or produce a different result within the limits you approved.
Which risks do I accept?
Digital assets and public networks can be volatile, experimental, and technically complex. Risks include partial or total loss of value, limited liquidity, price impact, slippage, MEV and transaction ordering, software defects, inaccurate data, validator failure, protocol changes, network congestion, failed execution, wallet compromise, phishing, malicious tokens or interfaces, and regulatory change.
Is PotaTao giving me advice?
No. PotaTao provides product tools and general educational information. Nothing on the interface is financial, investment, legal, tax, accounting, or other professional advice, and nothing creates a fiduciary relationship.
You make each decision yourself and should seek qualified independent advice where appropriate.
Can the service change or stop?
PotaTao is provided on an “as available” basis. Features, supported tokens, data sources, settings, and access can change, pause, or stop without notice, including for maintenance, security, legal, technical, or third-party reasons. PotaTao does not promise uninterrupted, error-free, secure, complete, or current service.
What use is prohibited?
You must not use PotaTao for fraud, sanctions evasion, money laundering, market manipulation, unlawful activity, malware distribution, unauthorised access, interference with the service, attacks on other users or systems, or attempts to bypass security or access controls.
What limits apply?
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, PotaTao and its contributors are not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or similar losses arising from use of, or inability to use, the interface, third-party systems, public networks, wallets, transactions, or digital assets. Nothing here excludes responsibility that cannot legally be excluded.
Can these terms change?
These terms may change as PotaTao, its technology, or applicable requirements develop. Updated terms take effect when posted with a new effective date. If you continue to use PotaTao after an update, the revised terms apply to that later use.
How can I contact PotaTao?
For questions about these terms, use the official channel linked from potatao.io: @Pota_Tao on X. Do not send seed phrases, private keys, identity documents, or other sensitive information through social media.
